22 years ago in August of 1988 my then 18 year old son, Sean, and I moved
from Long Island, New York to a little 10 acre farm in the the Ocala National
Forest in Florida. We brought our 5 dogs and 2 horses. Conditions were
unbelievable. 98° by day 80° by night. Palmetto bugs, fire ants, spiders
and the most horrible in your face lightening and thunder storms we ever
witnessed. Alligators and cottonmouths in my backyard. But it was our little
place so we stuck it out!
Anyway, now Sean is in Kansas City having a grat life and giving me a super
place to visit and I'm here alone on the farm doing all sorts of wonderful
things with all kinds of great and phenomenal people.
